It is extremely thick and actually helped my hair thinning issues. Apply only on the roots and scalp. I recommend using coconut oil or other lighter oils if you plan on keeping it on for long time.

The castor oil needs to be dilated with some other oil. I prefer almond. I use the mixture and apply only 1 teaspoon on my scalp. Then I comb my hair and tie it up. Don't overdo it and less is more with castor oil.
